update

I'm stealing this idea from someone else (I forget who) so thank you whoever. Starting now, anything that isn't a part of the novel, I'm going to put in blockquotes and a smaller font so it doesn't get too confusing.

I wrote for about an hour tonight (this morning) and things seemed to be going pretty well. I had no idea what I was going to write about, but right before midnight I started to get a really fuzzy idea. I'm kind of glad I don't have the entire story mapped out, because now it can go in pretty much any direction.

I mean, I'm glad I have a few notes now, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if I went in a different direction entirely. I guess I'll just see what happens.
